Goal of the study programme:

To train competent, highly qualified and competitive journalists for work in mass media organisations, particularly emphasising the newest trends in media development both in organisational and operational sphere.

What skills and habits will the programme develop?
It will impart overall knowledge and understanding of journalism, media and broader communication processes, media production, contents and perception processes;
Particular attention will be paid to interrelation of the new communication and information technologies and social changes and their impact on journalism, media spheres and broader communication processes, it will offer overall knowledge and understanding of the state and public administration, and functioning of political and economic systems;
It will train students’ skills and habits in application of the acquired theoretical knowledge in practical work in media organisations, including skills and habits to create the contents in journalism by using modern information and communication technologies;
It will facilitate developing skills and habits that are in heavy demand on the labour market - knowledge of foreign languages, team work, research and practical work skills, ability to think critically, analyse problems, take responsibility, communication skills and public presentation skills, etc.
