Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Communications Emphasis at Northern Caribbean University Jamaica
The programs offered in this department are designed to provide knowledge and experience in the pure and applied areas of, computer science, information science and information technology. Beyond this, the department seeks to imbue in its students Christian values, moral soundness, and professional ethics. These, along with the theories and applications of logic programming and problem solving through practical applications, will fit the students for service in all branches of science, business, and the humanities.

All bachelor's degree program of study ISE have a common first year with courses on the fundamentals of engineering sciences on a broad basis: mathematics, science, computer science, as well as introductions to the fundamentals of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and teaching.
In the second and third academic year, professional content for occupation-oriented, depending on the orientation differ. The Bachelor of Science Computer Science and Communications Engineering "will be complemented by specific content from the fields of electrical engineering, computer science and information technology dominated.

The student learning outcomes for the certificate are as follows:
The fundamental knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to understand and relate scientific principles to applications using current electronic communications devices.
The knowledge and ability to continue learning the principles and applications of future communications devices .
This certificate program provides theory and experiments for electronic communications topics ranging from low-frequency applications to fiber optics.
