The establishment of the Master of Design (Graphic Communication) responds to the significant changes that are occurring in the profession. An understanding of communication, new technologies and business management strategies is necessary in approaching the new global multidisciplinary face of design.

The program is designed to allow the graduate to advance in positions of management, design leadership, and as product managers. Graduates of the Master of Design will use their industry experience and understanding of industry issues, working either as executives or as principal designers and product developers within large organisations and/or smaller enterprises.

The Master of Design has strong links to industry, ensuring the relevance of course content.

Why study Graphic Communication?
This program will benefit middle managers, as many of the individual courses will provide them with the opportunity to enhance their current roles within the workplace. The program will provide the nexus between the designer and the business manager within design companies. Through the combination of course content it will be possible for students from both these aspects of industry to explore the many integrated aspects of the design profession.
