The Faculty of Communication Sciences was instated on 18 September 1960. In its development, the faculty has undergone various changes in the name. In its initial establishment it was called the Faculty of Journalism and Publications. In 1962 it became the Faculty of Publication and Journalism and in the following year it was called the Faculty of Publications. In 1964 it became the Institute of Publication and finally in 1980 it was named the Faculty of Communication Sciences. DUAL DEGREE: Bachelor of Journalism & Sarjana Komunikasi DURATION: 2 years (UPH) + 2 year (QUT) THE PROGRAM: The dual degree program draws on UPH & QUT (Brisbane – Australia) expertise in global communication and digital media. It introduces students to a variety of theoretical perspectives in film, television and media industry locally and internationally. In the first 4 semesters at UPH, student learns the basic Communication and Journalism subjects. The students are also required to undertake a short semester before commencing their study at QUT. The next 4 semesters are finalized at QUT where students will learn the foundations of Film & TV production
