Graduate in Communication Arts Corps at Pontificia Universidade Catolica De Sao Paulo
Unprecedented in Brazil and abroad, the course is aimed at those who consider the body as primary culture media. That means: the body as the first means of communication to man in his evolutionary process, in different times and in living environments.
Rationale
Communication Arts Corps is one of the graduate programs of the PUC-SP, which, accord with the more contemporary trends characterized by the search for artistic language, is its role in the understanding that the creation of dance, theater and performance can be studied as processes of communication.
Thus the course combines to an innovative proposal in the field of knowledge, because seeking the connection between knowledge hitherto isolated. The artist’s body is also a researcher of contemporary communication networks and is inserted in its most advanced processes.
Objectives
Training professionals who will explore new frontiers of performance and the body as a media adviser in their processes of communication with the environment, as creator, performer, playwright, body preparer, curator, producer and programmer culture.
Training of artists ready to exploit the physical theatricality in shows and other types of art, participate in the creation of scenic spectacles, new research from the developing body; find scenic new procedures for the body to dance, to the body that operates scenic and for the performer, creating their own works and / or people acting as researchers and thinkers, not only as performers, acting within the advertising, fashion, media and entertainment in non-conventional, developing theoretical and critical research on the body ; organize and develop projects in the area of performing arts, research, create and perform works that have a dialogue with the new technologies, investigate and experiment with new dramaturgy of the body.
