Admission Requirements and Application Procedures
Four-year bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food (or equivalent), and
Minimum of a B average (or equivalent), and completion of at least one of each of the following: undergraduate research methods course (or equivalent), introduction to statistics course (or equivalent), an interpersonal/professional communications course, a course in biological sciences (e.g., physiology, biochemistry) , and a course in social sciences (e.g., sociology, psychology);
Two letters of recommendation;
Statement of interest in the master’s program in relation to your experiences and career aspirations (800-1000 words).
Your current resume, highlighting the experiences that have enhanced your communication skills
Two samples of verifiable communication products, at least one of which must be a product that was completed individually. Provide an example of your work that best demonstrates your communication capacities. While the sample submitted may be an existing work or something created specifically for this application, it must be something that you completed individually. Works may include reports, brochures, audio and/or video materials, visual arts, published papers, etc. These samples are not normally returned. For each sample submitted, provide the name, affiliation and contact information for a professional colleague or associate who can verify your role in the production of the material (e.g., an academic advisor, employment supervisor) on the Supplemental Admission Data Form. In the case of broadcast media products, please provide contact information for the media outlet/organization. For each sample submitted, please submit a paragraph stating the title of the work, describing the background of the product, your role in the creation of the product, and how the product demonstrates your communications capacities (Maximum 300 words per sample).
Official transcripts for all relevant post secondary education.
A test of English language proficiency, for those whose previous language of instruction was not English.

Admission Requirements (2008 - 2009)
Alberta High School diploma or equivalent with at least 60% in English Language Arts 30-1 or English Language Arts 30-2 or equivalents.
All applicants to SAIT Polytechnic must demonstrate English Language Proficiency prior to admission, including students educated in Canada. English Language Proficiency is a requirement for all SAIT Polytechnic programs. For more information, please refer to the English Proficiency section.

Admission Requirements and Equivalent Standing Guidelines
Applicants educated outside of Ontario must submit evidence of standing equivalent to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six Grade 12 U or M courses. It is essential that program-specific subject requirements and grades for specific Ryerson programs form part of the academic background of applicants from outside Ontario, especially in the last two years of secondary school studies.

The objective of the Master in Communication in Nutrition and Health is to train professionals in the field of communication with ability to transmit information to the company quality, objective and rigorous related sector.
In addition to providing the knowledge necessary to understand its full dimension in the world of nutrition and health, the Master's program provides the students:
- A thorough knowledge of drafting techniques in order to "translate" for the general public expertise.
- A thorough knowledge of the techniques of business communication.

All applications for admission to Southern Polytechnic State University must have all required credentials, including the certificate of immunizations and a $20 non-refundable application processing fee on file in the Admissions Office by the application deadline date for the semester in which the applicant plans to enroll.
